Knowledge is an influential power that shapes understanding of leading analysis of actors who use power as an instrument of change. Those actors operate toward the idea that 'power is knowledge', diffusion and embodied in discourse, knowledge.
Power of knowledge is also a major source of social discipline and conformity that leads us to consistency. Today, this can be observed in the administrative systems and social services. Especially, the pandemic taught us the value of knowledge through the dependence on our screens, how to access certain knowledge among information pollution that people were spreading irrelevant, unsolicited, redundant and low-value information which has helped us to avoid useless and undesirable knowledge.
Contrary to many attempts and interpretations, new generation entrepreneurs, businessman believe that the growth of the world is hidden in knowledge and to be consistent is required to reach relevant mechanisms, and inventions.
Being Consistent and Knowledgeable: Biontech
The discovery of the vaccine was a great milestone against the coronavirus. Two Turkish scientists, Dr. Özlem Türeci and Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin have shown the power of knowledge and being consistent in the work they have done for saving man-kind. This is 'significant success' of knowledge.
The vaccine development process can normally span eight to ten years. However, it took less than a year for Biontech researchers in Mainz, Germany, to develop the vaccine and apply for a license in the US during the pandemic period in a race against time.
The company is established to develop immunotherapeutic cancer drugs, and tries to find a cure for cancer with RNA biochemistry which they have long worked on. With their RNA knowledge and consistency in their studies, this technology is now being used for corona treatment. If it weren't for their work, it would probably take many years to discover a truly effective vaccine.
Thirst for knowledge: Elon Musk
Carrying people to Mars, electric cars, solarium tiled roofs, fast travel in a frictionless environment, seeking solutions to traffic jams with underground tunnels. It is possible that each of these extraordinary projects will be realized separately, but what makes the work interesting is the common point of all of them: Elon Musk.
At the age of 10, he met something brand new that might change his life: a Commodore VIC-20 with 5 kilobytes of RAM. After 3 sleepless days, he had already read the book teaching the BASIC programming language. From that day forward, the computer continued with the books, the task of making Elon Musk's difficult childhood bearable.
At the age of 24, he enrolled at Stanford University to pursue a doctorate in physics. Due to his entrepreneurial spirit, his doctoral adventure took only 2 days and he left school and founded the first web software company named Zip2 with his brother Kimbal in 1995 with a capital of 28,000 dollars.
Elon and Kimbal couldn't afford to rent a house, as they had put all their money into this business. That's why they stayed in their office at night, slept on the couch and used the facilities of charities to take a shower. In a later interview, Elon Musk says that they deal with the operation of the website during the day and code at night. “We were working every moment we were awake,” Musk and his brother's dedication paid off after 4 years.
In 1999, Zip2 had grown and started to enter the radar of large companies, and at the end of 4 years, Compaq bought Zip2 with a deal of approximately 300 million dollars. Elon Musk earned $22 million after the sale of Zip2, which he owns 7 percent of.
He founded X.com, which focuses on financial services, with $10 million out of $22 million. A year later, X.com merged with Confinity, a company teamed by Peter Thiel and Max Levchin, to focus on Confinity's money transfer solutions and discovered PayPal.
Today, Elon Musk is a mastermind behind SpaceX, Tesla, and the Boring Company are notoriously overworked. He dedicates an astonishing 85 hours a week to his projects and businesses that he embraces with passion.
Musk has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and the ability to apply what he has learned in different disciplines. It is one of the best examples of the modern concept of wisdom, consistency and using the power of knowledge.
The more we are consistent in what we do and the more we blend it with knowledge, the more our chances of success reach its peak. Knowledge alone is powerful but not sufficient.
A journey of 18 years of dedication, passion, and success.
